Former heavyweight world champion Shannon Briggs looks in incredible shape ahead of a possible fight against Mike Tyson.

The 48-year-old has not fought since 2016 and has a professional record of 60-6-1, with notable scalps including George Foreman and Ray Mercer.

Briggs showed he has not let himself go, though, and in a post on Instagram he displayed his ripped physique.

He is currently training for a bare-knuckle boxing match in the BKFC after signing a deal in April.

The former world champion also claims to have agreed a deal to fight Mike Tyson.

Iron Mike, 53, has been back in training ahead of a comeback to the ring and he's been posting his own rather eye-catching workout videos on social media.

Briggs said: “I just talked to Mike Tyson, it’s going down, me and Mike.

“We’re going to make it happen, it’s official, you’re going to see it happen, Brownsville versus Brownsville.

“Me and Tyson are going to lace up the gloves, we’re going to rumble, rumble in the jungle.

“We’re going to let our fists do the talking.

“The money is there, the money is almost there. I can’t say much, I’ll leave it at that.

“This is for charity, this is an exhibition, I want people to understand.

“We all know it’s an exhibition and then we will see what’s left in the tank.

“It’s for charity, it will be fun, but this is Mike Tyson we are talking about.

“He naturally hits hard, so he might hit me and he might break my rib. We have to be fully prepared.”

Another possible opponent for Tyson is Evander Holyfield, with a trilogy fight rumoured, though the latter has similarly tipped Riddick Bowe or Lennox Lewis for potential bouts.

“It’s better you do it with people who have been round like you," Holyfield told The Times.

“I don’t want to go and fight someone trying to make a name for themselves. People want to see me and Bowe, of course Mike Tyson and maybe Lennox, that would be good. I’ll spar with anyone.”
